Weapon control |
| |
Background: Software development of C3 system (Communication, Command and Control), supporting fast target detection and firing decisions. The software controls weapon and target detection systems and includes a highly customized GUI and live video.
Challenge: Formal software development, complex multimedia technologies, sophisticated subsystem interactions and controls. |

Turnkey Devices for Large RFID Application |
| |
Background: Developing line of RFID security and asset tracking devices in extremely short time.
Challenge: ConKor organized and led a team of software, hardware, and mechanical engineers for creating a completely new line of RFID devices for a customer participating in a DoD tender. This included producing a set of working prototypes and supporting customer teams abroad in the USA and Austria. The project significantly shortened time to market and demonstrated our ability to organize multidisciplinary teams in an extremely short time, supplying outstanding project management. |

Medical Imaging Application |
| |
Background: 3D medical imaging viewer presenting data generated by a cardiac diagnostic system. The viewer displays complex heart models embedded in MS Office documents.
Challenge: Development using FDA guidelines. Sophisticated 3D graphics, using OpenGL and DirectX for displaying 3D models. |

| |
Medical Devices |
| |
Background: Developing software and firmware for a family of medical devices. Long-term customer support.
Challenge: Major technological upgrade of medical devices for treating patient lymphatic system problems. This included embedded firmware development and integration with new hardware, formal documentation, and support of the FDA registration process. In addition to embedded development, the customer required development of several PC applications for dealers, technicians, and production floor support. For production support, the customer required development of testing equipment for the new device and its hardware. |

Medical Cosmetics Application |
| |
Background: Software development for several medical aesthetics devices with very short time to market.
Challenge: Intensive development effort over a very short time, dealing with many software technologies, precise designs and creating intermediate demo versions for exhibitions. Additionally, ConKor Implementing highly customized GUI prepared by a GUI usability expert. The ConKor team created very accurate development plans and managed the schedule to prevent unorganized development. Thorough design review was performed for each project to allow for future reuse of all delivered software. |

FAB Measurement Cluster Tool |
| |
Background: Software for complex metrology equipment installed in a semiconductor manufacturing facility (300 mm wafer FAB). This equipment operates in a fully automated environment, interacting with FAB robotics and host computers, using various SEMI SECS protocols. Another function of the software is to move input wafer in accordance with measurement recipes between internal measurement modules, operating these modules and acquiring wafer measurement results.
Challenge: Full responsibility for software including real time control and complex GUI. |

Industrial Jet Printer |
| |
Background: Software design and prototyping of breakthrough industrial jet printer.
Challenge: Software design for a multimillion dollar strategic project. To reduce risks, the customer ordered design and core development from ConKor. |

| |
Airborne Engine Health Analyzer |
| |
Background: Software controlling data acquisition from the jet engine during flight in real time, detecting events of incorrect engine operation or functioning. If such an event is detected, the airborne box records a large amount of environment information for further analysis of the event on the ground.
Challenge: Development using RTCA/178B guidelines. The system was certified by the FAA. |

Porting of Large Windows 32 bit application to Win64 API |
| |
Background: Porting of complex application framework containing more that million lines of source code from Win32 API to Windows 64 bit.
Challenge: Port included feasibility testing, redesign for Win64 API, detailed report of the changes, formal testing of the resulting code, and knowledge transfer to the customer. During the project several bugs in Microsoft compiler were detected during analysis of the resulting assembler code. These bugs were confirmed by Microsoft. |
